This
experiment was rather spontaneous. We've met ones... After few hours
conversation, they left with a visual score for each of them,
to perceive and to digest.
I've heard this TRIO many times in different contexts, performing with
different soloists. Yet, while performing their interpretation of TREE,
I haven't heard them playing 'this way', with 'this' particular content, textures and mood...
Another discovery was to listen over and over again to the recording of
this performance, which by all means had no visual destruction of
a performer in front of the audience, nor subconscious presence of the
TREE (as the score). In every new listening experience more intricate
details, textures and meanings -- a true musical image of TREE would reveal.... This is where the hearing /v.s. listening/ of TREE really begins....
